Links Field Announces GSMA SGP.31/SGP.32 Certification, Leading eIM Technology Standardization into a New Era of eSIM IoT Standards

Links Field is proud to announce that our physical site in Shenzhen, China, and our cloud site in Munich, Germany, have received GSMA SAS-SM certification in November 2024 for our eSIM IoT Remote Manager (eIM), compliant with eSIM IoT standards. In addition to this new certification, our eSIM Manager solution, which adheres to the eSIM Consumer standards (SGP.21/SGP.22), has also been renewed by GSMA, extending its validity until November 2026.

GSMA SAS-SM certification is a crucial recognition by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) for eSIM management service providers. It ensures the security, functionality, and interoperability of eSIM solutions. This certification signifies that Links Field can provide eSIM data generation and configuration services with the highest security, functionality, and interoperability under GSMA SAS-SM certification.

In July 2023, GSMA launched the SGP.32 eSIM Internet of Things (IoT) standards (IoT architecture), specifically designed for devices with network and user interface limitations. It aims to simplify carrier configuration and management in IoT applications through Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) technology, further accelerating the development of large-scale IoT.

As the core architecture for IoT standards, Links Field’s eIM technology fully adheres to the SGP.32 eSIM IoT standards. It significantly simplifies the profile download process, reduces bandwidth and energy consumption required by devices, and is particularly suited for resource-constrained NB-IoT and LPWAN devices. Our eIM orchestrates and authenticates profiles directly from the SM-DP+, ensuring the correct profile is used by the device while simplifying the eSIM lifecycle management. It achieves high automation suitable for long-term operating devices like smart metering systems. By supporting efficient management of a large number of devices, eIM significantly reduces our operational costs while enhancing device security mechanisms through centralized management, ensuring the safety and reliability of IoT devices throughout their lifecycle.

This certification consolidates our practical experience and extensive device deployment success across over 100 global projects. It is also a testament to our skilled R&D team’s continuous focus on new standards and deep understanding of the IoT market. eSIM technology is revolutionizing device connectivity, and Links Field, as an industry leader, is at the forefront of the eSIM technological revolution, playing an essential role in driving this transformation.

Links Field is committed to advancing the standardization of eSIM technology and industry collaboration, aiding our clients in deploying secure, scalable, and efficient IoT solutions. In the future, we plan to explore broader applications of eSIM technology under new standards with device manufacturers, operators, and industry partners.
